John Gorman
BS, MA, CPT, Synergy Labs & Distribution Owner
John Gorman (BA, MA, CPT), is a serial entrepreneur who has a long history in the supplement industry being the founder and owner of PHAT Muscle Project and also Co- Owner of NuEthix Formulations. With Synergy Labs and Distribution his focus is with customers development of supplement brands to encompass not only formulations but storage and distribution practices so they can maximize the growth of their companies without the hassle of a brick and mortar facility.
Outside of Synergy John also owns Team Gorman, a coaching business where his clients have placed 1 st over 450 times in the competitive world of bodybuilding. He hosts 2 podcasts, Elite Physique University and PHAT Muscle Project. He is also a 4x best selling publish author and proud Father to his two boys Jay and Gavin.
Jacob Klessens
RD, Warehouse Logistics Supervisor
Jacob Klessens is the head of Warehouse Logistics here at Synergy Labs and Distribution in charge of all storage, distribution and shipping for multiple brands. Jacob earned his Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from Missouri State University, where he developed a keen interest in sports nutrition. His academic journey included completing a rigorous supervised practice with a specialized focus on enhancing athletic performance through diet, providing him with the expertise to work with athletes and health-conscious individuals alike. Following his formal education, Jacob assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer at Phat Muscle Project, a position he has held for the past five years. In this role, Jacob
has been responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring efficient product management and distribution, product development, and maintaining the high standards that the company is known for. His ability to blend his nutrition knowledge with logistical operations has made him an integral part of the Synergy Team. Through his unique combination of expertise in dietetics and operations management, Jacob has established himself as a versatile and driven professional, dedicated to promoting both health and efficiency within the fitness industry.
Chris Wolfe
BS, Production Supervisor
I started my fitness journey at the age of 15, and never looked back. I was completely absorbed by everything that surrounded it. I was always a hard gainer, so when protein was introduced to me I took it and ran. By the time I graduated high school I knew what I wanted to do- absolutely anything with fitness. I went to school at Southeast Missouri State for an Exercise Science degree. After two years, I transferred to Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville. By this time, the dietary supplement industry was BOOMING. I had pin-pointed what I wanted to pursue. I loved researching the different active ingredients in supplements, beyond the lines of sports nutrition. I loved reading the summary of studies to know exactly why an ingredient worked the way it did. I had found how dietary supplements can be extremely effective in all forms of health and wellness, not just the gym. Knowing the possibility that I can try to help at least one person makes this career more than worthwhile.
Craig Bedard
Business Supervisor
Craig is the General Manager for the manufacturing plant operations and is
responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing process. In addition, he manages all
procurements, accounts receivables, accounts payables, payroll, retirement plan
oversight, warehouse operations, and HR. Craig has a logistics background and brings
50 years of experience of Inventory Management to the company.
Joe Reece
BS, Formulations Manager/Capsule Productions
My Career started at Mckendree University with a degree in Health and Wellness with minors in Sports Performance and Sport Psychology. After graduating in 2014, I became a personal trainer, working with hundreds of clients of all ages and needs. This included meal plans and supplementation when necessary after reviewing the client’s goals.
My journey into supplement manufacturing in 2016 started as a production worker, assisting with blending and packaging products. It has blossomed into many areas such as capsule production, formulation and flavoring of products. My role with Synergy includes all of these tasks as well as maximizing efficiency in procedures and production.
My favorite aspect of the job is flavoring. It is exciting to create new flavors of products and to see the excitement around releasing new flavors that have never been done before. The excitement of the customer loving the flavor or obsessed with it drives me to create the best flavors out of any company in the industry.
